Freedom in the fun.
—just go with it—
There was a time when I believed seriousness equalled substance. Particularly when it came to business. If it didn’t have a “why,” a meaning, a deep emotional ‘reason’ – I brushed it off.
But now, in midlife, frivolity to me – is more important than ever. When you just do something that feels joyful – with absolutely no plan or no agenda.
I really love a good banter (if you haven’t already noticed haha) and I am more curious than ever. And that has led me to some incredible moments, opportunities and circumstances. Spontaneity is something that I have always cherished – because so much of our lives are somewhat structured – even if we don’t acknowledge that they are. There’s a time and a place for everything – but fun doesn’t need an agenda. Let it just be.
There’s something powerful in rediscovering fun on your own terms. Not to impress. Not to chase youth. But because it reminds you that you’re alive. It only needs to feel good to you.
The world is always evolving, so much happening (and so much of it out of our control) – and often it feels incredibly heavy. So to be able to find just a moment, a ‘glimmer’ of joy and just relish in it – that’s something to be grateful for.
What’s the silliest, most wonderful thing you’ve done lately?
And did you do it just for you?
